Why people stop dreaming?

Why do we end being so miserable? When do we stop dreaming and start acting like real adults, with real worries and real wounds? I cannot imagine life without a smile and life without the sun, be it just deep in my heart. I cannot imagine living next to a man who does not appreciate me the way I am, with goods and bads. I cannot imagine why people stop dreaming for something better, for something good in their lives. It is because life it's so hard we cannot see the good part of it, or just because we were taught to just accept everything that comes along without arguing about it?

Of course, it's a good thing to take life as it is when you cannot change the facts, but it's deplorable when you don't look any further. And I see this "acceptance" every day, when I look at some of my friends, especially to the females: I have a friend and she's so not wanting to see the things in other way then the one she was raise. With all the religious believes that drag her back, with all the social dogmas and all it comes with it. She just can't see herself earning more than 500-700 euros per month, nor doing something out of the ordinary. She just wants to follow a pattern and stick with it. And if she will never dream more than that, it is a fact that actually she'll never have more. And that is so sad. Why do people stop dreaming and start grumbling!? We only have one life and we can make so much out of it. Why don't we take advance of it and just do it? I would like all the people to start look into the mirror and actually realize that this is now, it's happening now and they have NOW the chance to do something. The past is past. The future is something it will come, someday...tomorrow, the day after tomorrow...but THE PRESENT! Oh, the present is it a present! Make the most of it!

Refresh your dreams - Letter of the week (8)

Reading that Spanish edition of "Emotional Healing" (not sure if this is the official title for the English Version, what I'm reading right now is called "Curacion Emocional" in Spanish) I've felt the urge to go further and buy some more English/Spanish books. If my English were native and if I could write better, I will do it just like Kinsella. She thinkis exactly as I do. She sometimes feels the same, too. And God knows what else do we have in common. For me reading in a Foreign language is a pleasure, and sometimes it's an nightmare. Not actually a real nightmare, as I get to at least guess what's the meaning of an word or another, but because I have to stay super focused on the reading and not to lose myself into words. He! It's easy to say, a little bit hard to put it in practice, especially when you're reading in the metro.
But there we go with the list of hot spots. Don't expect something BIG, I just remembered I love Sophie's writing style after reading "Can you keep a secret?" back in 2009. And now I want more. And she wrote so many books since then...watch it below:

My nails are made to be polished!

Look at these nails: so easy to make with such a great visual impact! I love them! The glitter one is actually a natural mauve with some glitter on top. I was inspired by some models seen on pinterest. And this is what came out!

Hot or not?! Images de Marloes Horst

Images de Marloes Horst

This doesn't look too good, isn't it?
A perfect message that not ALL that's on vogue at the moment can actually look good. Or natural. This is brutal and horrible! Would you go out wearing this make-up? I guess not!

Happiness on sale

Happiness for sale! Love, prosperity and wisdom! Oh, you can find them all right here, on this Facebook page!

Oh, what would people buy just to fulfil their wishes! They blindly believe a bracelet can bring happiness, when happiness in right inside every one of us! And prosperity, when prosperity is something to should achieve by hard work, and not by waiting just to come by! And, oh, wisdom! How can one imagine a bracelet will bring wisdom along with it? How can one possibly believe that, when wisdom is something you have deep inside you and you cultivate all your life, but it is there right from your birth. Is either you have it or you don't have it! One way or another!
These bracelets are gorgeous though, but I prefer to create my own bracelets instead of buying them!

Life it's a playground

I've been waiting for this moment for so long. I so much wanted to try this and see what comes out of it, that I cannot even believe I was just about to give up. The reason I haven't is because my husband remind me why I am doing this and how badly I need this. It is going to be IT or ...not. One way or another, I have to try this if I want to move on. If I want to look forward and find my way. I got so many questions ans so many scenarios that I've come to the conclusion that none of this can't be sure. They are all thoughts dancing up and down my head. I will know for sure probably on Friday, but I'll know the non-official results on Wednesday at noon.

Of course, medicine it;s not an easy faculty. There will be 6 years and I'll have a lot of work for that matter. I'll have seminaries, lectures, practical courses and most of all, lessons among dead bodies, dissecting them step by step in order to learn the mysteries of the human body. It will a long way. But in this journey I'll find great stories, meet wonderful people and learn whatever it is needed to become a great doctor.

It's very late right now and I'm going to shut this down. Next 2 days will be full and I'll have to make the most of it.  See you soon, with or without it! ;-)

PS. I have to write about Barcelona and my dreams to move there (at least during the summer).

Things should be simple. Or are they?

You probably noticed I'm pretty a non-driven person. I'm almost never decided about one thing or another, and I question the facts all the time. I wonder what to do, what's best to do, what not to try and stuff like that, but most of all - I'm asking myself WHAT DO I WANT?! Because not knowing the answer to this question may lead to serious unhappiness. And the truth is that, the more I let go thinking about it, the closer I get to seeing things as they are: simple. And the simple fact of being aware of this makes me feel better. I'll start with the beginning: I am here, I want to go there. The rest will come along.

Moving to Barcelona - Letter of the week (8)

I so much missed writing and posting in here! I have to admit I should take more time to put my thoughts into words, it's such a nice reminder when reading after some time!

I have been in Barcelona, visiting and seeing the most of it, and this city left such great impression on me, that I'm setting the next vacation there! Which is not going to be really a vacation, because we are planning moving in there. Yes, you 'heard' that right! You probably know if you read my blog that we were thinking of relocating, see the post here. I so much wanna fly there and settle down with work and have a nice little cozy apartment, that we are actually looking for it. I've started looking the internet and comparing the prices, the offers and all that kind of stuff you need to live there, especially the one implying costs for food/water, rent, bills for monthly utilities and so on... SO many stuff to arrange, set, plan! We are very excited, my husband liked so much in there, loved the weather, the people, the language! I have to admit I wanted to write that in Spanish, but than I've realized it will take too much to find my words and put them together, that I will eventually lose my thoughts! LOL! That's not something to laugh about it, I should have known how to write a simple 'story' and how to narate the things that happen in there...but then again, I have no exercise with that! English comes so much more into hand, and the words come naturally. Even if sometimes I can't find my words in English, I quickly find a replacement for the word in question!

So this is it, we are so planning this relocation that I have to tell you my keyboard burns into typing work offers, apartments finds and absolutely necessary things we need.

Only 15 hours to go

Tomorrow (like better said today) we'll hit to the airport and fly to Barcelona. I have to tell you I'm pretty anxious about it and want to make sure I won't forget a thing. We are still not sure whether the airport security officers will let us pass with some things we have in our luggages like my mascara, or eye shadows or my eye pencils. They may say these are potential harmful and may hurt someone or may be used as weapons? I really hope they will let us pass with this, as I don't have my body oil, my toothbrush or tooth paste....and I have no clue where will get all that in Barcelona...late evening...oh!

But I intend to pay for the big luggage when we come back from Barcelona, so we can actually buy so things like perfume, deodorants, face cream or body or I don't know...WE don't have too much money so that's why we haven't decided yet. The truth is that I don't want to spend too much money, but them again, I really don't want to feel sorry I haven't bought some souvenirs to remind us this trip.

I'll go to bed now, I want to get up early, at 8 or 8:30....

See you in Barcelona!

The is always a first time for everything

Next week I'll have my first fly and I'm a little bit anxious about it. I've never been in an air plain and I've always wanted to fly and see how it feels. Or maybe that wasn't the real reason: the real reason I wanted so badly to fly is because I so much want to travel the world and see new different places and cultures. But this urge to see this and that got fast into regression when the crisis come over us and the hope for something better was vanished away. And the thought of relocation, too. I mean, there are people in Spain who cannot afford to pay the rent or the mortgage and what am I dreaming about?!?

But getting back to our trip, I truly think it will be marvellous, in that particular good way! And I'm going to enjoy every moment spent there. It's out first trip together on board and it's the first fly for both of us. What a beautiful trip will that be!

Your life purpose is...Letter of the week (7)

Of course, I have so many dreams and I'm going to play one little tiny game so that I'll finally get to know what my life purpose is: why I'm on this earth and what I am meant to do with my life?!
For that, I've found so many articles and I even got two with the same title (who on Earth would write an article without checking first is there is another one with the same title? Especially when, as a writer, you DO RESEARCH your paper!?!), but one of them really got my attention. It says there that are 3 steps you should follow in order to complete the process of "what to do with your life?" And these are:
1). take a paper and a pen or simply open en word editor on your computer
2). Name it "what is my real life purpose on this Earth?"
3). Start writing whatever comes to your mind, being a phrase or a sentence, or even a single word. It doesn't matter, you just put it down without thinking too much. It should take about 15 or 20 minutes to complete that, and you may surprise yourself entirely writing things you've never thought about it. But keep writing until you write something that will make you cry. This is when yo will know you've found your life purpose. This is when you got to meet the pure happiness! ;-)

The beauty and the pain

Wonder: why people feel the pain so differently? Is there a link between the body and the mind?! Are those who believe are stronger, stronger then the others?!

I had to see the dentist for so many times and I had so many problems with my teeth, but every time I went to see the doctor and the procedure implied an injection to calm the pain, I was told that I have a better reception to pain. Why is that? It is known that when you're afraid of the procedure you tend to feel the pain even more badly than actually it feels. And I Believe it's true, even if last time I saw my dentist he told me that I'm going to feel more pain with the paladin injection, it wasn't like that at all: the pain was as usual, just a pinch and that was all! ;-)

And I kiss the rain again

After so many hot summer days, we have rain tonight. It's such a beautiful feeling the moment the rain drops kiss the asphalt. It smells sooo good and feels so natural. All the hot atmosphere is in my bedroom now, and in other bedrooms, because we have 25 degree outside, but inside are at least 29! Saint God we have rain! And that got colder outside otherwise I don't know...

I', going back to my letters, I want to have this finished asap!

Sex and the girl friends

As I was watching the sex and the city tonight, I've realised that every woman has a little bit of the characters: I'm a little Samantha bitchy, I'm something of Charlotte, I'm more like Carrie (except I'm not a smoker!), and just a little bit of  Miranda. And the friendship "dance" the all 4 are playing: nights out, early-mornings and crying desperate cell phones they give and receive. I realize that I'm more a men's friend  not becaouse I don't like women friends, but because I had no goody-women-friends with whom I could actually talk and not feel uncomfortable! Or being criticized! Like all women tend to do when you're our of the moral social believes, trying to be yourself and ending up with no real girl friends, because they are all afraid of who you really are or who you may become. Is that so important to women, that they leave behind a friendship!?

YES, it is. Most of them would leave in a blink. But are they right?! It's really such a big thing this social label you get to wear when you grow up and people expect you to act in some particular way? I guess I've never been a 'playing by rules girl', but I've known how to balance the truly me with the so wanted social copy of what I should be considering to others' opinion.

What do we do when we cannot say goodbye? - Letter of the week (6)

I say goodbye to things in my life that are blocking my spiritual growth.

There are moments when you want to leave the past behind and start fresh. When you truly have the will to move on, but you feel there's something left behind, something ...unfinished. And that it's true. You're totally entitled to feel this way. Sometimes we cannot let past behind if we never had the chance of saying "good bye". And we feel like's something unfinished there that needs to be done and you think you have no idea on how to do that.
The past is gone, the future uncertain. Today is now and I face it head on.
I'm not referring here to the people that have passed away and we didn't had the chance to say our last "goodbye", but to the ones that left our lives without actually saying a thing. Why people choose to be so cruel? Do they hide or something? can't stand having their last talk with the person they want to exclude from their lives? And why is this "unfinishness" feeling so badly? Why we feel this urge of finishing it?

I have one million thoughts about this. I feel sometimes I can let it go and never look back. I really do feel so. But then something happens and I'm facing again the person who have left so abruptly. Literally face it. And don't know how to manage my feelings, what should I act and what should I say if necessary. I guess sometimes all you have to do is just let it go. It may seem easy to say and hard to do, but I guess it's up to you if you can do it or not. You should have no problem, especially if you focus on present, that way you don't have to worry about the past.

I release my chaotic monkey mind. My mind is clear of distractions. I am focused.

I'm fabulous!

I'm fabulous!
